I like cycling and i thought being a courier would be a good option in a country like Netherlands with the huge cycling culture. I work full time, around 40~45 hours per week.

I love this job and experience wise i’ve learnt a lot, about the Netherlands. Its people and how great it is. I’ve met a lot of people whom some i could call friends and make a positive impact on my life. We deliver good quality food to hungry customers which are happy the way things are now, so changing that would be a mistake. ZZP is something i don’t really wanna try and i don’t think is fair for all riders like myself who have been doing this for a while know and see no recognition for all the hard work we did since Deliveroo started in this country.

In combination with working for Deliveroo I also study Game Development. Deliveroo is a nice chance for me to go outside, exercise, and earn some money.

I started working in January of 2017Right now I work between 4 and 8 hours per week, because I don’t have a lot of time due to my studies. Since then I’ve cycled around 1.400 kilometres, which is nothing compared to many other riders.

I’m against the freelance system Deliveroo wants to implement. The taxes we pay will skyrocket, we’ll have even less insurance, and our pay will be even lower. We’re being told that with the new system we will make more money as we’ll be paid per order. In reality, we will only earn more when barely working. Those that work al- most fulltime will earn much, much less.

We do a frequently unappreciated job, in often bad and sometimes terrible weather circumstances, and barely receive any credit for it.
